participation in our school’s many and varied programs, activities, and events
throughout the school year. We
appreciate your participation as authentic partners with us to provide for the
quality education for your child … our student. With heartfelt gratitude we send our mahalo for your involvement
in our efforts for continuous school improvement. My 6 ½ years at Mililani Uka, out of
the 36 years with the DOE, have been extraordinarily special for me because of
the unconditional “unity of effort” and altruistic “spirit of service” that is
the culture of our Mililani Uka Ohana.
The school is on an excellent level and in an advantageous position to
continue to improve extraordinarily as new initiatives are implemented. I am confident that our school and our Ohana
will be a gift to the new principal, as it has been for me since March 1, 1999. I do not say that I am
“leaving”. Rather, because this is a
wonderful school with special people, I say that I am “bound” for a different
phase of my life … retirement. The many
sparkling moments that I take with me will continue to be the gems that shine
in my fondest of memories. I will
remember. To our staff, students and families
who are leaving at the end of this school year, we thank you for honoring our
us with your being a part of our Ohana.
May you know that your contributions to our school are appreciated with
aloha and fondness. May you all have a
safe, healthy and enjoyable summer break.
