ALOHA FROM YOUR PCNC
I would like to thank all the parents, family members,
students, community members, teachers, staff members and administration who
have supported the many events held at Uka.
The spirit of ohana or family permeates throughout our school. With the collaboration of all segments we
are able to make the students feel safe and comfortable coming to this school
and the parents know that their children are getting an excellent
education. I have been very fortunate
to know that most families at Uka volunteer somewhere in our school. This is not only families of students, this
includes families of teachers and all other segments. I know that all of the members on the SCBM and Hui boards are
employed and have very busy lives so their commitment to the students at Uka is
extraordinary. It has been my privilege
to work with so many talented and inspiring people for the past ten years. Thanks for caring.
I would like to encourage you to apply for this most
rewarding PCNC position. Applications
are due on Monday, June 6 and interviews will be scheduled for June 7, 8 and 9,
2005. Believe me when I say that you
can make a difference in your child’s school.
Bring your ideas and your skills to this exciting position.
Together we can make a difference at Uka. Come out and volunteer, it makes you feel
great!
HUI NOTES
The Hui would like to thank all parents/guardians and
family members who have come out and supported the many events that were
planned this year. The success of all
the projects couldn’t have been accomplished without everyone’s support. The
manpower and the donations were greatly appreciated. See you next school year!
Thank you to all the teachers, parents, Uka Kumon
employees and Mililani Ballroom dancers who came out to distribute the Spring
Fund-raising products. Almost 9000
products were given out on Wednesday.
Next year we will continue with the Magazine drive,
Entertainment Books, and Sally Foster fund-raisers.
