I. Call To Order
Chairperson Eric Matsumoto called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. A 10-minute
recess was called. The meeting was reconvened at 5:10 p.m.
II. Introduction of Guests
No guests
III. Approval of Minutes
Correction to PCNC report, delete “Our regularly scheduled SCC meeting will need
to be held at a different location due to the Book Fair..... Minutes approved
as corrected.
IV. Reports
A. HUI Update
Revised By-Laws will be sent out this week. Spring
fundraiser sales is almost complete with April 5 scheduled for pickup. Spring
Fling will be held on April 13.
B. PCNC
Norma shared the activities for the month of March,
April and May. Friday, March 10, the Wolfhounds will be visiting Kindergarten
and P8. A suggestion was made to include frequently called numbers on the
newsletter. Frequently called numbers can currently be found on the Mililani
Uka 2005-06 School Calendar. Spring break starts from March 20, 2006- March 31,
2006.
C. Student Council
Dress Code
The student council will be participating in the
Reynolds recycling campaign in March and April. Students will be collecting
recyclables during April 3 - 7. The student council hopes to collect over 4000
lbs., approx. 5 lbs per student and faculty members. Mililani Uka is vying for
the $1,000 bonus prize.
Student council was asked by administration to update
the current dress code policy. Students voted and with majority votes, dress
code updated to reflect the new dress code. The student council asked for
approval from the SCC to update the dress code. SCC members were asked to take
this back to their segments. Revisions made in reference to heel height for
shoes, no higher than 1 ˝”, and wearing covered shoes for PE classes, field
trips, playing on the field, courts, and 4 square areas; and when working in the
cafeteria, office, and library.

Data
Mrs. Bonsignore shared the new
data. When instances occur, the staff is taking care of the offense
immediately. Mililani Uka will be involved in the Character Counts
program--tied with positive behavior support which includes the six pillars.

Concerns
Safety committee meeting held. One of the
items the committee is working on includes the school evacuation plan.
V. Unfinished Business
A. Calendar Updates 2006-07
Change 12/19/06 professional day to
2/16/07. There were no objections. The SCC
members moved and second the motion to accept the change.
Motion carried.
VII. New Business
A. Nominations for SCC Members
The end of the year is quickly approaching. Norma will
include something in the next newsletter asking for nominations for parents and
community members for the new SCC council. Teachers, staff and students to
begin planning.
