Members Present:  Daryl Fujino, Mari Nishida, Carrie Laforteza, Monica Andrade, Lorene Park, Robyn Goya, Darlene Ching, Diana Bonsignore, Norma Tansey, Micah Thomas-Vieira, Eric Matsumoto, Nasrin Segovia, Lii Furuta

 

I.          Call to Order

            Meeting called to order at 5:00 p.m.  A 10-minute recess was called.  Meeting was       reconvened at 5:08 p.m.

 

II.        Introduction of Guests

            Angela White: Parent

 

III.       Approval of Minutes

            Minutes approved as circulated.

 

IV.       Approval of Agenda

            Agenda will stand approved as circulated

 

V.        Reports

            HUI Update

            Spring Fling April 13, 2006.  6:00-8:00. Voting for HUI.  Closing spring fundraiser by drawing the $500 prize.

 

            PCNC

            Campus evacuation soon. Coming in May: Jump Rope for Heart, Curriculum Fair, Staff Appreciation Week.  Those who are interested in training for shelter, give Norma your name. Red Cross Mock Shelter training.

 

            Student Council

            Cash for cans recycling: not sure of outcome as of yet.  Food drive next week, and 4th grade having elections for the 5th grade officers.

VI.       Unfinished Business

 

Nominations for SCC Members

A community member is needed, could be another parent?  Need at least 2 parents and an alternate.  Re-writing the Bylaws could be an option (i.e. 1 teacher representing 3 grades)

 

 

VII.     New Business

Dress Code:  Tabled to the next meeting.

In next calendar going home, blurb to parents to remind them about the new school year will be included.

Next meeting may be cancelled: Monday, May 1, 2006, 5:00 PM, Mililani Uka Library.  Notice will be sent out via e-mail.

First meeting for SY 2006-07 will be in August 7, 2006, 5:00, MUE Library
